Preparation Required

Stop blood-thinning medications and supplements (aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E) 1 week before surgery. Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before. Do not cut your hair short in the donor area. Wash your hair the morning of surgery with regular shampoo. Eat a normal breakfast. Wear a button-up shirt (you cannot pull clothing over your head after). Arrange transportation home — do not drive yourself.
