Ageless Aesthetics Medspa Chicago offers three PRP protocols: the PRP Facelift, which delivers the patient's own growth factor-rich plasma via micro-injection or cannula across the full face using eight identified growth factors to stimulate collagen and tissue repair; PRP Hair Restoration via scalp injections to encourage follicle activity and reduce hair thinning; and Under-Eye PRP targeting dark circles and periorbital hollowing. All three protocols use a small blood draw centrifuged on-site to concentrate platelets three to five times above baseline, providing fully autologous biological treatment with no synthetic components.
Ageless Aesthetics Medspa Chicago's PRP programme, offered under the medical oversight of Dr. Malgorzata Sypien MD FAAFP, harnesses the patient's own platelet-derived growth factors across three distinct anatomical applications. The preparation process is consistent across all three protocols: a small volume of venous blood (typically 10–20 mL) is drawn and placed into anticoagulant tubes before centrifugation to separate blood components by density. The buffy coat layer — containing the concentrated platelet fraction — is harvested and may be further refined into platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) by a second spin without anticoagulant, producing a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors in a sustained, controlled manner over days rather than hours. The clinic cites eight growth factors present in PRP/PRF that are relevant to skin and hair biology: platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), epidermal growth factor (EGF), fibroblast growth factor (FGF), connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). The PRP Facelift at Ageless Aesthetics delivers the concentrate via fine-needle micro-injection or blunt cannula across the full face, targeting the superficial dermis and subdermal plane at specific anatomical zones to stimulate fibroblast activation, neocollagenesis, angiogenesis, and tissue volume restoration. Three to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart are recommended for full results, with visible improvements building over four to eight weeks per session. PRP Hair Restoration applies the concentrate through multiple scalp injections distributed across the thinning zones, stimulating dermal papilla cells at the follicular unit level, prolonging the anagen (active growth) phase, and reducing the proportion of follicles in telogen (resting). Clinical evidence supports PRP scalp injections for androgenetic alopecia, diffuse thinning, and post-partum hair shedding. Under-Eye PRP is a targeted application to the periorbital region, specifically the tear trough and eyelid-cheek junction, delivering growth factors to an area particularly prone to volume loss, vascular congestion (contributing to dark circles), and thin, fragile skin. Because all three protocols are entirely autologous — derived from the patient's own blood — there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection.
Pricing not published. Chicago market reference: PRP facial $550–$800 per session; PRP hair restoration $600–$900 per session; under-eye PRP $400–$600. Three to six sessions recommended four to six weeks apart. Price shown reflects a standard PRP facial session at Chicago market rates.
