Stress & Anger Management Therapy

Type

Stress Management

Duration

1 hour

Individual psychotherapy for stress, chronic worry, anger management, and burnout using evidence-based techniques such as CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. Delivered by doctoral and licensed psychologists across 60 or 90-minute sessions.

Stress and anger management therapy at Annabelle Psychology is delivered by experienced clinical and counselling psychologists using evidence-based approaches validated for stress-related and emotional regulation difficulties. The therapy draws on a range of modalities — including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) — and is tailored to the individual's presenting concerns and goals. Common presentations include chronic occupational stress and burnout, generalised anxiety, anger outbursts and difficulties with emotional control, relationship conflict driven by stress or irritability, and physical symptoms associated with chronic stress such as tension headaches, fatigue, and disrupted sleep. The initial session is an assessment appointment in which the psychologist takes a detailed history, explores the client's stress triggers and coping patterns, and collaborates with them to formulate a treatment plan. Subsequent sessions build practical skills — such as cognitive restructuring, behavioural activation, relaxation techniques, and interpersonal effectiveness — alongside deeper exploration of the underlying patterns and beliefs that sustain stress or anger difficulties. Annabelle Psychology also delivers corporate stress-management workshops and employee assistance programme (EAP) interventions, making it a convenient choice for HR departments seeking clinical-grade mental health support for their workforce. Individual therapy, however, remains the primary offering and is suitable for working adults, executives, students, and parents experiencing life-stage stress. All sessions are confidential and conducted in a private clinical setting. Clients may attend either the Novena or Thomson clinic, with Monday–Saturday appointment slots available from 8:00 am.
