Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Type

Hyperbaric Oxygen

Duration

1 hour

Medical-grade hyperbaric oxygen therapy in a pressurised chamber at 2.0–3.0 ATA, supervised by Dr. Stephen Chu. Used for healing and recovery, post-cancer rehabilitation, wound care, fertility support, and general longevity optimisation.

Aquila Medical Center's hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) programme delivers pure oxygen in a pressurised chamber at 2.0 to 3.0 ATA (atmospheres absolute), significantly increasing the amount of oxygen dissolved in the bloodstream and delivered to tissues. Under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Chu — who brings over 17 years of clinical experience in integrative and aesthetic medicine — each patient undergoes a comprehensive medical evaluation and health history review before a personalised treatment protocol is designed. The clinic targets multiple use cases: general wellness and longevity optimisation (enhanced mitochondrial function, accelerated recovery, immune modulation), post-cancer rehabilitation addressing radiation injury (osteoradionecrosis), haemorrhagic cystitis, chemo brain, chronic fatigue, and peripheral neuropathy, as well as wound healing for non-healing surgical wounds and diabetic foot ulcers, and fertility support. Ongoing monitoring and protocol adjustment are included throughout the course. HBOT at Aquila is embedded within the clinic's broader longevity framework and can be combined with biological age assessment and other integrative therapies for a comprehensive health optimisation programme. The clinic is located in the SBF Centre Medical Suites at 160 Robinson Road, accessible from Tanjong Pagar MRT.
