Medical-grade chemical peels and anti-aging skincare treatments for wrinkles, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, acne, and photoaging. Offered as part of the practice's med spa services under Dr. Seckel's supervision at the Boston Commonwealth Avenue office. Peel depth and formulation were selected based on skin type, concern, and tolerance.

Chemical peels were part of the non-surgical skincare offering at Boston Plastic Surgery Specialists, administered under the supervision of Dr. Brooke R. Seckel and his clinical staff at the Commonwealth Avenue, Boston location. Medical-grade chemical peels use controlled acid formulations to remove damaged outer layers of the skin and stimulate new skin cell growth and collagen production in the dermis, resulting in improvements in wrinkle depth, pigmentation uniformity, skin texture, and overall skin quality over the weeks following treatment. Superficial peels using alpha-hydroxy acids (glycolic, lactic) or low-concentration beta-hydroxy acid (salicylic) address the outermost epidermal layer, producing mild exfoliation with no significant downtime and making them suitable for regular maintenance use. Medium-depth peels using tricholoroacetic acid (TCA) in concentrations of 20–35%, or Jessner's solution followed by TCA, penetrate into the papillary and upper reticular dermis, producing a more significant wound-healing response and corresponding improvement in moderate wrinkles, pigmentation disorders, and surface irregularities, but require five to seven days of peeling and redness. The practice's anti-aging skincare programme extended beyond in-office peel sessions to include medical-grade home skincare using retinoids, antioxidant serums, and sun protection — an important component of maintaining and extending the results of both in-office treatments and surgical procedures. The skincare component of the practice reflected the increasing integration of medical aesthetics with surgical care that characterised Dr. Seckel's comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation. The practice closed permanently in September 2023.
