Primary and revision rhinoplasty for reshaping the nasal bridge, tip, base, and nostrils to improve aesthetic proportions and facial harmony. Performed by Dr. Brooke R. Seckel MD FACS at Emerson Hospital's Clough Surgical Center. Open or closed techniques selected based on the degree of structural change required. The practice also offered chin augmentation and facial implants to complement nasal reshaping.

Rhinoplasty at Boston Plastic Surgery Specialists was performed by Dr. Brooke R. Seckel, who brought a nuanced approach to nasal reshaping informed by his dual board certifications in plastic surgery and neurological surgery — the latter providing a refined anatomical understanding of the nasal airway and its relationship to functional breathing. Rhinoplasty is among the technically most demanding procedures in plastic surgery, requiring the surgeon to simultaneously address the aesthetic appearance of the nose from multiple angles while preserving or improving the patency of the nasal airway. Dr. Seckel offered both open rhinoplasty (a small transcolumellar incision connecting the intranasal incisions, allowing complete elevation of the nasal skin envelope for maximum visibility) and closed rhinoplasty (all incisions entirely within the nostrils, leaving no external scar), with technique selection guided by the complexity of the structural changes planned. Common aesthetic concerns addressed included reduction or refinement of a dorsal hump (the bump on the nasal bridge), correction of a bulbous or poorly defined nasal tip, narrowing of a wide or flared nasal base, correction of a deviated septum contributing to asymmetry, and correction of over-projecting or under-projecting nasal tips. Revision rhinoplasty — addressing unsatisfactory results from prior nasal surgery performed elsewhere — was also offered, a technically more challenging procedure due to the altered anatomy, scar tissue, and potential cartilage deficiencies that characterise previously operated noses. Cartilage grafts (from the septum, ear, or rib) were used when structural support or projection required augmentation rather than reduction. The practice also offered chin augmentation as a complementary procedure frequently performed with rhinoplasty to achieve balanced facial proportions. The practice closed in September 2023.
