VASER Liposuction

VASER liposuction at Cosmos Clinic Gold Coast uses ultrasound-assisted liposuction technology developed by Solta Medical to selectively emulsify and remove adipose tissue with greater precision than conventional suction-only liposuction techniques. In the VASER process, small probes emitting ultrasonic energy at 36 kHz are inserted through tiny access incisions into the targeted fat layer; the acoustic energy preferentially disrupts fat cell membranes through cavitation while leaving surrounding nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue relatively intact. The emulsified fat is then removed via a fine cannula, producing less trauma to surrounding tissue and enabling finer contouring detail. This tissue-selectivity makes VASER particularly suited to high-definition body contouring (Hi-Def VASER), where the goal is not simply volume reduction but the accentuation of underlying musculature — visible separation of the rectus abdominis, serratus, obliques, and other muscle groups beneath the skin for an athletic appearance. Treatable areas at the Gold Coast clinic span the full body: abdomen, flanks and love handles, back and bra rolls, upper and inner arms, male chest for gynaecomastia (excess breast tissue and fatty deposits), hips and outer thighs, waist, and the submental neck and lower face for jawline and jowl definition.
