Type
Microneedling
Duration
1 hour
Medical microneedling using fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the dermis, stimulating collagen and elastin production. Used to address acne scars, enlarged pores, fine lines, and uneven skin texture. Sessions last approximately sixty minutes including topical anaesthetic preparation. Mild redness and minor swelling resolve within one to two days.
Medical microneedling at Dermatologie und Ästhetik Bremen Dr Uta Schlüter is a collagen-induction therapy that uses a controlled array of fine medical-grade needles to create thousands of micro-punctures across the skin surface. Each micro-channel triggers a localised wound-healing response in which fibroblasts are recruited to the dermis to synthesise new collagen and elastin fibres. Because the channels are uniformly distributed across the treatment zone, the cumulative collagen stimulus is spread evenly, resulting in progressive improvement in skin density, surface smoothness, and structural integrity over the weeks following each session. Unlike ablative laser resurfacing, microneedling leaves the outer epidermal layer substantially intact, reducing recovery time and making the treatment appropriate for all Fitzpatrick skin types, including darker complexions that carry a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from heat-based devices. Primary indications include atrophic acne scars in rolling, boxcar, and shallow ice pick subtypes, enlarged pores, fine lines and mild skin laxity, uneven skin texture and roughness, stretch marks, and photodamage-related changes. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied thirty to forty-five minutes before the procedure to minimise discomfort. The session itself typically runs thirty to forty-five minutes for a full-face treatment. Post-treatment redness and minor swelling are expected and resolve within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. A standard course of three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is recommended for acne scarring and significant textural concerns; two sessions may suffice for general skin quality improvement. Dr Schlüter's practice is located in Bremen, north-west Germany, serving patients from the city and surrounding region with specialist dermatological skin treatments in a clinical environment.
Starting from €349 per session. A course of three sessions is typically recommended for acne scarring and skin texture improvement. Contact clinic for current pricing.
