SkinPen microneedling at Dr Afrooz's Coral Gables med spa uses an FDA-cleared device to create thousands of precise micro-injuries in the skin's surface, triggering the body's natural wound-healing response to produce new collagen and elastin. The result is progressively improved skin texture, reduced pore appearance, softened fine lines, and a more even skin tone — without the downtime associated with more aggressive laser resurfacing. The clinic offers two SkinPen treatment protocols: a full-face session priced at $550 for patients focused on facial skin quality, and an expanded session covering the face, neck, and décolleté for $750 — addressing the common concern of textural inconsistency between the face and the chest area, particularly relevant in South Florida's warm climate where décolleté skin is frequently exposed to UV. Microneedling can be performed as a standalone treatment or combined with PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) to further amplify the collagen-stimulating response. In a combined protocol, PRF is applied topically during the microneedling session, allowing growth factors to penetrate through the micro-channels created by the device for enhanced skin rejuvenation.
