The Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute offers breast augmentation, breast lift (mastopexy), and breast reduction performed by Dr. Rod J. Rohrich. Augmentation uses submuscular implant placement sized to individual anatomy rather than target cup size, with both saline and silicone options. Breast lift is tailored by degree of ptosis, using anchor or concentric incisions and combining implants where volume enhancement is also desired.
Breast surgery at the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute encompasses augmentation, mastopexy (breast lift), and reduction, each planned and performed by Dr. Rod J. Rohrich with a focus on proportional, anatomy-driven outcomes. For breast augmentation, Dr. Rohrich's preferred approach is submuscular placement of the implant beneath the pectoralis major muscle. This technique provides more soft-tissue coverage over the implant, reduces the risk of capsular contracture, and produces a more natural slope and feel compared with subglandular placement. Implant selection — saline or silicone, round or shaped, and specific profile — is guided by the patient's chest wall dimensions, existing breast tissue, and aesthetic goals, rather than by a target cup size. This anatomy-first sizing philosophy is a hallmark of the practice. Breast lift surgery addresses ptosis (drooping) that can result from weight loss, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or natural ageing. The technique chosen depends on the degree of ptosis: patients with minimal sagging may be candidates for a concentric (periareolar) incision, while moderate-to-significant ptosis typically requires the anchor (inverted-T) incision pattern. When a patient desires both lift and increased volume, implants are placed simultaneously during the same procedure. Breast reduction reduces disproportionately large breasts to relieve symptoms including back and neck pain, shoulder grooving from bra straps, skin irritation, and posture problems. The procedure also lifts the breast to a more youthful position. All breast surgery is performed at the accredited Dallas Day Surgery Center within the institute building, with optional post-surgical nursing recovery at the on-site Cloister facility. Consultations include professional photography and a thorough review of all technique options.
Starting from $8,900 surgeon's fee for augmentation; lift and reduction priced on consultation; excludes OR and anesthesia fees.
