Unlike traditional microdermabrasion, which exfoliates and separately applies topical products, DiamondGlow performs three simultaneous actions through a single diamond-tip wand pass: abrasive exfoliation using a diamond-studded tip that removes the stratum corneum layer of dead skin cells, vacuum-assisted extraction that removes debris and congestion from follicle openings in real time, and controlled serum infusion through the same handpiece using a recirculating closed-loop delivery system that pushes SkinMedica Pro-Infusion Serums into the freshly exfoliated skin surface. The concurrent exfoliation and infusion takes advantage of the temporary increased skin permeability immediately following barrier disruption, delivering active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, growth factors, antioxidants, retinol, and brightening agents at a higher concentration than topical application alone can achieve on intact skin.
