Multi-cancer screening uses blood-based biomarkers to screen for signs of multiple cancer types in a single test. These panels may include traditional tumor markers (PSA, CEA, CA-125, AFP), advanced liquid biopsy technology (circulating tumor DNA), or multi-analyte algorithms. The field of cancer early detection through blood testing is advancing rapidly, with new tests able to detect signals from dozens of cancer types — many of which have no standard screening method. While no blood test can definitively diagnose cancer on its own, abnormal results guide further investigation with imaging and biopsy. Early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes across nearly all cancer types.
