Dental implants replace missing teeth with a titanium post placed in the jawbone that acts as an artificial root, later restored with a crown. Dr Petrasz holds a certified implantology licence and offers established implant systems including budget-friendly Cortex and premium Straumann implants, so the option can be matched to your needs and budget. Where the bone is thin, sinus-floor augmentation can be carried out to support placement. A separate prosthetic stage adds the visible crown.
A dental implant is a small titanium screw that is placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Over a healing period the bone integrates with the implant surface, creating a stable foundation onto which a crown, bridge or denture can later be attached. Implants are a long-term way to replace one tooth, several teeth or to stabilise a loose denture without grinding down neighbouring teeth as a conventional bridge would. At Gabinety 51 implant treatment is provided by Dr Monika Petrasz, who holds an implantology licence certified by the Polish Implantology Association and is a member of the ICOI and the German DGOI implantology societies. The practice works with more than one implant system so treatment can be tailored to the situation and budget — a cost-effective Cortex implant or a premium Straumann implant, one of the most widely documented systems internationally. Treatment begins with assessment and planning, including imaging to check the quantity and quality of available bone. Where there is not enough bone height in the upper back jaw, a sinus-floor augmentation (lift) can be performed using a closed or open technique to create the support an implant needs; this is priced separately. After the implant is placed it is left to integrate before the visible part — the abutment and crown — is added in a separate prosthetic stage, which is quoted under the practice's crown and prosthetic pricing. Implant treatment suits adults with good general and oral health and adequate bone; the dentist will assess your suitability, explain the stages and timescales, and set out realistic expectations and the total cost across both surgical and prosthetic phases before you proceed.
