Dermal filler injections at the Plastic Surgery Clinic of Chicago are administered by Dr. Parit A. Patel, whose background in aesthetic and craniofacial surgery provides a sophisticated anatomical foundation for facial volumisation and contouring. The practice offers three primary filler products: Juvederm, Belotero Balance, and Radiesse, each with distinct physical properties suited to different anatomical targets and treatment goals. Juvederm is a family of hyaluronic acid (HA) gels produced by Allergan/AbbVie; the range includes formulations of varying cross-linking density and viscosity, from thin, spreadable gels suited to fine lines and the lip body (Juvederm Ultra) through to dense, high-G-prime formulations designed to project and support deep volumisation in the cheeks and midface (Juvederm Voluma). HA fillers are reversible with hyaluronidase enzyme injection, providing a safety margin not available with non-HA products. Belotero Balance is a more fluid, cohesive HA filler from Merz that integrates closely with the dermal tissue matrix, making it particularly well-suited to superficial placements in the periorbital area, the fine lines above the lip, and areas where a very smooth, blended result is needed. Radiesse, by contrast, is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microsphere suspension that provides immediate volumisation and additionally stimulates endogenous collagen production in the surrounding tissue as the carrier gel absorbs — producing a dual immediate and biostimulatory effect that can extend its clinical result. CaHA is non-HA and cannot be reversed, so patient selection and injection technique are more consequential. Common treatment sites at this practice include nasolabial folds and marionette lines, lip volume and definition, cheek and midface volumisation, the tear trough and under-eye area, jawline definition, chin augmentation, and non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty. Dr. Patel's rhinoplasty surgical expertise specifically informs his approach to liquid rhinoplasty — using small aliquots of filler to camouflage dorsal irregularities, lift a drooping tip, or improve nasal profile — with a precise understanding of safe injection anatomy.
