Medical-grade chemical peels, IPL (intense pulsed light), and fractional CO2 laser treatments offered at Las Vegas Plastic Surgery under board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey J. Roth MD FACS. Treatments address sun damage, pigmentation, fine lines, uneven texture, and acne-related scarring. Recovery ranges from no downtime for superficial peels to up to two weeks for deeper resurfacing procedures.
Las Vegas Plastic Surgery offers a range of skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatments to address the textural and pigmentation changes that accumulate over time from sun exposure, ageing, and acne — concerns that complement the surgical programme and allow patients to maintain skin quality between procedures or address early changes that do not yet require surgery. Chemical peels use controlled acid solutions applied to the skin surface to exfoliate dead cells, stimulate collagen production, and even skin tone. Superficial peels (glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid) produce minimal flaking with no meaningful social downtime and require a series of sessions for cumulative improvement in brightness and fine texture. Medium-depth peels (TCA, Jessner's combination) produce more significant exfoliation over five to seven days and can visibly reduce moderate pigmentation, mild scarring, and photoageing changes with a single treatment. IPL (intense pulsed light) uses broad-spectrum filtered light to selectively target melanin pigment in sun spots, freckles, and diffuse skin redness, as well as the haemoglobin in superficial vessels that causes rosacea and broken capillaries. A series of three to five IPL sessions spaced three to four weeks apart is the standard protocol for photorejuvenation, with each session producing progressive improvement in skin clarity and evenness. Fractional CO2 laser is the most aggressive resurfacing modality available at the practice, delivering ablative energy in a fractional pattern — thousands of microscopic columns of treated tissue surrounded by untreated bridges — to drive significant collagen remodelling, wrinkle reduction, and textural improvement. Recovery after fractional CO2 involves visible weeping and crusting for one week followed by redness for two to four weeks, with results associated with lasting years. All resurfacing procedures are followed by strict sun protection protocols, as the freshly treated skin is highly photosensitive. Performed under the oversight of Dr. Roth's team.
