Blepharoplasty Surgery
Type
Eyelid Surgery
Duration
2 hours
Eyelid surgery for rejuvenation and enhancement.
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) removes excess skin, muscle, and sometimes fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids. Upper blepharoplasty corrects hooded or drooping eyelids that can impair vision and make you look tired. Lower blepharoplasty addresses puffy under-eye bags and loose lower lid skin. The procedure can be cosmetic, functional (when drooping eyelids obstruct vision), or both. Incisions are hidden within the natural crease of the upper eyelid or just below the lash line of the lower lid, healing to become nearly invisible. The procedure takes 1–2 hours and can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation. Results are long-lasting — typically 7–15 years.
