Vascular Laser (Nd:YAG, Etherea-MX)

A long-pulse Nd:YAG laser on the Etherea-MX platform that targets visible vessels and redness — thread veins around the nose and cheeks, facial flushing, rosacea-prone skin and leg vessels. The laser energy is absorbed by the blood in the vessel, which is gradually cleared by the body. Small individual vessels or whole areas can be treated, and cherry angiomas are also addressed.

Vascular laser treatment uses a long-pulse Nd:YAG laser, part of the Etherea-MX platform, to target unwanted visible blood vessels and diffuse redness. The laser is tuned so its energy is preferentially absorbed by the haemoglobin inside the vessel; the vessel is heated and damaged, then gradually cleared by the body over the following weeks, while the surrounding skin is spared. This makes it suitable for fine thread veins around the nose and on the cheeks, broader facial redness and rosacea-prone skin, small cherry (ruby) angiomas and certain leg vessels. At Medycyna Estetyczna Legnica the area is cleansed and the treatment takes from a few minutes for one or two vessels up to around thirty minutes for a full face. A cooling sensation and the snap of the laser are felt during treatment, and afterwards the area may look slightly red or, for larger vessels, briefly bruised before clearing. Depending on the extent of the vessels, one session may suffice or a small number of sessions a few weeks apart may be advised, and new vessels can appear over time so occasional top-ups are common. Sun protection is recommended before and after. The treatment is not suitable over very tanned skin or certain conditions and is avoided in pregnancy; suitability and realistic expectations are discussed beforehand.
