PRP/PRF Therapy

1 hour
Platelet-rich fibrin is a next-generation relative of PRP, also made from your own blood but prepared without anticoagulant so it forms a slower-releasing fibrin matrix rich in cells and growth factors. This matrix is associated with a more sustained release of repair signals into the skin. At MJAesthetic it is offered as a regenerative treatment for skin quality and is typically given as a short course.
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) builds on the same idea as PRP but uses a different preparation. A small blood sample is spun gently and without anticoagulant, which allows the platelets, white cells and fibrin to form a soft, three-dimensional matrix. Because the growth factors are held within this fibrin scaffold, they are associated with a slower, more sustained release once placed in the skin, which is why PRF is often described as a longer-acting evolution of PRP. At MJAesthetic the process of drawing the blood, preparing the fibrin and treating takes around forty-five to sixty minutes, with numbing for comfort. As with PRP, the material is entirely your own, so there is no foreign product involved and tolerability is generally very good; expect mild redness or small bruises for a day or two. Results develop gradually over several weeks as the skin renews, so a short course is usually planned, with maintenance once or twice a year. PRF may suit adults wanting natural rejuvenation of skin quality and is also used in delicate areas such as under the eyes, where its soft matrix is helpful. It can be combined with microneedling. The physician confirms suitability beforehand; it is not performed in pregnancy or in certain blood or clotting conditions. Pricing starts from 900 zł and depends on how many tubes are prepared.
