Comprehensive Hormone Panel

Type

Hormone Testing

Duration

30 min

Comprehensive hormone panel available as an add-on to the Executive Health Assessment, covering sex hormones, adrenal hormones, and thyroid function. May support assessment of hormonal contributors to fatigue, weight changes, mood, libido, and metabolic function. Coordinated through external labs with physician interpretation included in the follow-up debrief.

My Doctor Medical Group offers a comprehensive hormone evaluation as an optional add-on within the Executive Health Assessment framework or as a standalone service for concierge members. Hormonal balance plays a central role in energy regulation, metabolism, cognitive clarity, mood stability, libido, sleep quality, and lean muscle mass — all of which are primary concerns for individuals pursuing long-term health optimization and longevity. The panel is tailored to the patient's age, sex, and symptoms, and typically covers the major hormonal axes. For sex hormone assessment in men, this includes total and free testosterone, estradiol, SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin), LH, and FSH — providing a picture of both circulating hormone levels and the hypothalamic-pituitary feedback signaling that regulates production. In women, the panel is adapted for menopausal status and includes estradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, SHBG, DHEA-S, and testosterone, with timing considerations if the patient is premenopausal. Adrenal function assessment may include cortisol (morning) and DHEA-S as markers of adrenal reserve and chronic stress physiology. Thyroid evaluation — including TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and TPO antibodies — is typically integrated to assess the interaction between thyroid and sex hormone metabolism. Additional markers may be included based on clinical context: IGF-1 (a growth hormone surrogate), prolactin, and pregnenolone may be added for patients with specific symptoms or concerns about adrenal or reproductive axis dysregulation. Physician interpretation is integrated into the follow-up debrief session, where lab findings are contextualized against the patient's symptoms, imaging results, and other biomarkers. The practice does not apply a one-size-fits-all hormone optimization protocol — findings are used to inform personalized discussions about lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, and, where clinically appropriate, further evaluation or referral.
