Stress Profile Assessment

Type

Stress Management

Duration

1 hour

A 60-minute physiological stress assessment using non-invasive sensors to measure heart rate, breathing patterns, brain activity, and muscle tension. Produces a personalised stress profile with data-driven insights into how stress is affecting the body and nervous system.

The Stress Profile Assessment at New Leaf is a non-invasive, data-driven evaluation of how stress manifests physiologically in each individual. Conducted by Santiago Brand, the clinic's brain specialist, this 60-minute assessment moves beyond self-reported stress levels to measure what is actually happening in the body's nervous system under pressure. The assessment uses biosensor technology to simultaneously monitor multiple physiological markers: heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV), breathing rate and pattern, brain electrical activity via EEG sensors, and surface muscle tension (sEMG). Together, these signals reveal how the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the autonomic nervous system are balanced — or imbalanced — in the client's baseline state and during mild stressors. The resulting stress profile provides a detailed picture of an individual's physiological stress signature: whether their stress response is primarily expressed through cardiovascular reactivity, respiratory dysfunction, muscular tension, or neurological dysregulation. This distinction matters clinically because different stress presentations respond better to different interventions — for example, a client with high HRV impairment may benefit most from breathwork or biofeedback training, while one with chronic elevated muscle tension may need targeted somatic approaches. The assessment output includes a written report of findings with personalised recommendations for stress management strategies. Clients receive a clear understanding of their autonomic nervous system profile and can use this data to guide therapeutic choices, whether within New Leaf's own service offering (neurofeedback, counselling, breathwork, health coaching) or through external providers. The Stress Profile can also be bundled with Brain Mapping for a combined 150-minute neuro-physiological evaluation starting from SGD $1,000.
