Pressotherapy (device lymphatic drainage) uses multi-chamber inflatable sleeves that inflate and deflate in a programmed sequential wave, gently compressing tissue from the extremities toward the body's centre. This mimics — and amplifies — the natural muscle pump that moves lymphatic fluid, accelerating the clearance of retained fluid and metabolic waste from the tissues. The treatment is valued for several indications: heavy, tired or mildly swollen legs (especially in people who stand or sit for long periods), water retention and post-travel puffiness, sluggish circulation, support of cellulite programmes (fluid congestion accentuates dimpling), sports regeneration, and as a clearing step after fat-reduction procedures. The experience is relaxing — most clients describe it as a rhythmic massage — and there is no recovery time. Pressotherapy is not suitable for people with acute thrombosis, severe heart failure, active infection or untreated lymphatic obstruction; suitability is confirmed before the first session.
