Psychiatric Evaluation & Mental Health Assessment

Type

Mental Health Panel

Duration

1 hour

Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis by an accredited specialist, covering depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and stress-related conditions across all age groups.

PsyWellness Clinic offers a structured psychiatric evaluation led by Dr Lim Boon Leng, an MOH-accredited psychiatrist with over two decades of clinical experience. The initial consultation involves a thorough psychiatric history, mental state examination, and risk assessment. Where clinically indicated, Dr Lim orders diagnostic investigations to exclude organic contributors — including blood work, hormonal levels, medication blood-level monitoring, CT scans, MRIs, and pharmacogenomic testing — providing a genuinely integrated mind-body assessment that distinguishes this practice from standard GP mental health reviews. Conditions evaluated include major depressive disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD (child and adult), psychosis, insomnia, and stress-related presentations. The clinic also provides psychiatric occupational assessments, which are used for fitness-to-work evaluations and medico-legal contexts. Dr Lim holds a Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from NUS, a co-authorship on the Singapore National Clinical Practice Guideline for Bipolar Disorder, and an Honorary Fellowship in Youth Psychiatry from Orygen Youth Health, Melbourne. No GP referral is required, and the practice accepts patients of all ages — from children and adolescents to older adults. Follow-up appointments are scheduled based on the clinical picture, and urgent slots are available for acute presentations. Pharmacogenomic testing can be incorporated to guide medication selection for patients with previous treatment resistance or adverse reactions.
