Duration

A comprehensive blood screening panel designed for men, covering testosterone and related hormones, metabolic markers, liver and kidney function, full blood count and sexual health indicators. Results are reviewed in a follow-up consultation and used to guide treatment decisions.
Pulse Clinic Singapore's men's health blood panel is the starting point for most hormone and metabolic treatment programmes at the clinic. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all test, the team tailors the panel to the patient's symptoms and goals, ensuring that the results provide an actionable picture rather than a wall of numbers without clinical context. A standard panel at Pulse Clinic covers total and free testosterone, SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin), LH, FSH and prolactin to assess the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Oestradiol is included where relevant, since elevated oestrogen in men can drive symptoms that overlap with low testosterone. Metabolic markers such as fasting glucose, HbA1c, insulin, lipid profile (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides) and liver enzymes are assessed because hormonal imbalances rarely occur in isolation from metabolic dysfunction. A full blood count checks for anaemia or polycythaemia, both of which can be affected by testosterone replacement therapy. For patients on PrEP or with sexual health concerns, the panel can be extended to include HIV Ag/Ab, hepatitis B surface antigen and antibody, hepatitis C antibody, syphilis serology and other STI markers. Thyroid function (TSH, free T3, free T4) is added for patients presenting with fatigue, weight changes or mood disturbance that may have a thyroid component. Blood is drawn on-site and results typically return within one to three working days. A follow-up consultation is strongly recommended — the clinic's doctors walk through results in plain language, explain what the values mean in the context of your symptoms and lifestyle, and outline any treatment options without pressure. For patients already on testosterone replacement therapy or GLP-1 treatment, periodic monitoring panels are used to track progress, adjust dosing and confirm safety across renal, hepatic and cardiovascular markers.
