PRP Skin & Hair Restoration

Type

PRP/PRF Therapy

Duration

1 hour

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration at Pure Aesthetics Cosmetic Clinic in Upper Coomera, Gold Coast. Cosmetic PRP uses growth factors from the patient's own blood to improve skin texture, elasticity, and radiance. Hair PRP targets the scalp to stimulate follicle activity and support hair thickness. Both applications use autologous plasma — no synthetic additives — and are tailored to the individual at consultation.

Pure Aesthetics Cosmetic Clinic offers Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy across two primary applications — cosmetic skin rejuvenation and hair restoration — at their Upper Coomera clinic on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Both treatments begin with a small blood draw from the patient's arm, which is then centrifuged to concentrate the platelet fraction. Platelets are natural repositories of growth factors including platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and epidermal growth factor (EGF). When reinjected into the target tissue, these growth factors trigger a localised regenerative response — promoting fibroblast proliferation, collagen synthesis, and angiogenesis depending on the injection site. For cosmetic PRP (skin), the concentrated plasma is micro-injected intradermally across the face, neck, or décolletage to improve overall skin texture, fine line appearance, skin thickness and elasticity, and radiance. The procedure is sometimes combined with microneedling (delivered separately at the clinic) to enhance serum absorption through micro-channels in the skin surface. The autologous nature of PRP — using the patient's own biological material — eliminates the risk of allergic reaction to foreign substances. For hair PRP, the plasma is injected into the scalp at the follicular level, where the growth factors are associated with stimulating dormant follicles, extending the anagen (active growth) phase of the hair cycle, and supporting the density and calibre of existing hair shafts. Multiple sessions spaced four to six weeks apart are generally recommended for both applications, with a maintenance programme thereafter. Pricing varies based on the area treated and the number of sessions planned, and is discussed at the complimentary consultation.
