Red Light Therapy
Duration
20 min
Targeted photobiomodulation using red (630–670 nm) and near-infrared (810–850 nm) light panels to stimulate cellular energy production, accelerate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and support skin health.
REKOOP offers dedicated red light therapy (photobiomodulation / PBM) as a standalone modality, distinct from the red light integrated into its infrared sauna cabin. Clinical-grade red light panels deliver precisely calibrated wavelengths in the therapeutic window: red light at 630–670 nm penetrates the skin and superficial dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis, reduce oxidative stress, and accelerate wound healing; near-infrared (NIR) at 810–850 nm penetrates deeper into muscle, joint, and nerve tissue, modulating mitochondrial function via cytochrome c oxidase to increase ATP output, reduce inflammatory cytokines, and promote cellular repair. Regular PBM sessions are associated with reduced delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), faster tendon and ligament recovery, improved skin tone and texture, and modest cognitive enhancement through increased cerebral blood flow. Typical sessions run 10–20 minutes at a distance of 15–30 cm from the panel and do not generate significant heat, making red light therapy comfortable and non-invasive. At REKOOP, it is popular as a pre-workout primer (activating mitochondria), post-workout recovery tool, or a daily skin health protocol, and can be stacked with cryotherapy, cold plunge, or sauna within the same club visit.
