Do not wax or use depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least one week prior. Stay out of direct sun for 48 hours beforehand. Let your provider know if you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), as some treatments can trigger an outbreak. Avoid blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E) for 3 days prior if injections are involved.
