The GW Cosmetic Surgery Center offers facelift and facial rejuvenation surgery in Washington DC, with procedures performed by both Dr. Michael Olding (Professor of Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery Center Chief) and Dr. Adam Singleton (facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon). Treatments available include traditional facelift, neck lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty (upper and lower eyelid surgery), cheek implants, and chin augmentation. Dr. Singleton additionally specializes in minimally invasive facial cosmetic surgery and nasal and facial trauma reconstruction. Procedures are performed at GW Hospital's outpatient surgical facilities.
Facelift and facial rejuvenation surgery at GW Medical Faculty Associates draws on two surgeons whose training and certifications give the department exceptional breadth in this area. Dr. Michael Olding MD FACS, Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Cosmetic Surgery Center, holds board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has received Castle Connolly Top Doctor, Washingtonian Top Docs, and US News Top Doctor recognition across his career — ranked in the top 1% nationally in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Olding's facelift practice addresses gravitational descent of the lower face and neck through repositioning of the underlying SMAS layer and conservative skin redraping, with incisions placed within the natural hairline and periauricular skin creases. Neck lift surgery, either combined with facelift or as a standalone procedure, addresses platysmal banding and neck skin laxity through platysmaplasty and submental liposuction. Cheek implant placement and chin augmentation can be added in the same operative setting to further define facial proportions. Dr. Adam Singleton MD brings complementary expertise as a facial plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at GW Medical Center. Dr. Singleton specializes in rhytidectomy (facelift and neck lift), brow lift, and minimally invasive facial cosmetic surgery approaches — as well as facial and nasal trauma reconstruction and maxillofacial trauma surgery. This dual-surgeon department means patients can be matched to the specialist best suited to the nature and complexity of their facial aging concerns. Upper blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift) is performed to remove hooding skin and restore an open eyelid aperture; upper field visual obstruction may qualify the procedure for partial insurance coverage. Lower blepharoplasty addresses under-eye fat herniation, hollowing, and skin creping through transconjunctival or subciliary approaches depending on the patient's tissue quality. All cosmetic facial surgical procedures at the West End clinic are tailored to the individual patient's anatomical findings and aesthetic priorities, with detailed photographic analysis conducted at the pre-operative consultation.
GW does not publish cosmetic surgery prices. DC-area market reference ranges from approximately $23,650 (NaturalLift technique) to $36,950 (deep plane) all-inclusive. Exact pricing provided after consultation. Both Dr. Olding and Dr. Singleton perform facelift procedures.
