The device deploys an array of fine gold-tipped insulated micro-pins that penetrate the skin to a precisely controlled depth — ranging from 1 mm to 8 mm — while simultaneously delivering bipolar radiofrequency energy at the pin tips. The mechanical micro-injury created by each pin triggers the skin's natural wound-healing cascade: keratinocyte migration, fibroblast proliferation, and new collagen and elastin synthesis. The RF thermal energy adds a second layer of effect: heating the deep dermis and subdermal fat layer causes immediate collagen fibre contraction and initiates a sustained fibrogenic remodelling response over three to six months following treatment.
