PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) facial using the patient's own blood-derived growth factors applied topically following microneedling and via direct injection. May support collagen stimulation, skin rejuvenation, and improvement of fine lines, skin texture, and under-eye hollowing. $800 per session; 2-pack $1,500, 3-pack $2,200. Under-eye PRP injections available separately from $700.
Trifecta Med Spa NYC offers Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) facial therapy at $800 per ninety-minute session, with package rates of $1,500 for two sessions and $2,200 for three sessions. PRP is derived from the patient's own peripheral blood: a small blood draw is performed at the clinic, the sample is centrifuged to separate the plasma and platelet fraction from red blood cells and white blood cells, and the resulting platelet-concentrated plasma — which may contain three to five times the baseline platelet concentration of whole blood — is extracted for immediate use. Platelets are the body's primary circulating growth factor reservoir, containing alpha granules packed with platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β), insulin-like growth factor (IGF), and epidermal growth factor (EGF) — all of which play roles in tissue repair, collagen synthesis, and angiogenesis. At Trifecta, the PRP facial combines two delivery routes: topical application of the PRP serum over microneedled skin (the micro-channels created by microneedling allow the growth factors to penetrate into the dermis where they are otherwise too large to pass through intact skin) and direct injection of PRP into targeted areas such as the under-eye hollows, nasolabial folds, or regions of concern identified at consultation. The injected PRP is associated with stimulating fibroblast activity, improving local blood supply, and supporting gradual tissue regeneration in the treated zone. The combined microneedling-plus-PRP approach is associated with greater improvement in acne scars, skin texture, and fine lines than microneedling alone in observational studies. For under-eye hollowing specifically, direct PRP injection ($700/session or $1,250 for a 3-pack) may reduce the appearance of dark circles and sunken tear trough appearance by improving dermal hydration and stimulating periocular collagen. Sessions run approximately ninety minutes including blood draw and centrifuge processing time.
