Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized chamber at levels above normal atmospheric pressure (typically 1.3–2.0 ATA). This increased pressure forces significantly more oxygen into your blood plasma, tissues, and cerebrospinal fluid than is possible under normal conditions. The extra oxygen supports healing, reduces inflammation, and promotes the growth of new blood vessels in areas with compromised circulation. A standard session lasts 60–90 minutes. You’ll be comfortably positioned inside the chamber as pressure gradually increases. Most people watch videos, listen to music, or simply rest during the session. HBOT is one of the oldest and most well-studied wellness modalities, with a strong safety profile when administered by trained professionals.
