Dental hygiene is especially important during orthodontic treatment — aligners and braces create additional retention sites for bacteria — making the service a natural complement to the aligner programme.

Professional dental hygiene removes the calcified deposits (tartar/calculus) and soft biofilm (plaque) that cannot be eliminated by home brushing and flossing alone.
