The programme uses the same iTero digital scanning and ClinCheck planning as adult Invisalign, but with aligners specifically engineered to accommodate erupting permanent teeth and provide space management during a critical growth period.

Early orthodontic intervention during the mixed dentition phase can address developing malocclusions while the jaw and dental arches are still growing and most responsive to guidance. Invisalign First is the first clear aligner system specifically designed for this developmental window, offering an alternative to traditional removable appliances for selected paediatric cases. **Who is Invisalign First for:** Children typically between ages 6 and 10 who have a mix of baby teeth and erupting permanent teeth, presenting with crowding that requires arch expansion or space maintenance, narrow palatal arch that would benefit from early widening, crossbites or posterior bite issues during growth, and protrusion or spacing that can be addressed early. Early treatment does not necessarily eliminate the need for a second phase of orthodontic treatment in adolescence, but can simplify or shorten it significantly. **Design differences from adult Invisalign:** The Invisalign First aligners feature eruption compensation — spaces built into the aligner design that accommodate teeth in the process of emerging through the gum — so the aligner does not press against or interfere with erupting teeth.
