Skin Cancer Assessment
Specialist dermatologist assessment of suspicious skin lesions for early detection of melanoma, keratinocyte cancers, and other skin conditions. Conducted at the Skin Cancer Assessment Clinic by a panel of associate professors and FACD dermatologists. Runs Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. GP referral required. Positive findings may be referred to Mohs Surgery or Advanced Surgery Clinics.

Photodynamic therapy for the treatment of actinic keratoses, superficial basal cell carcinoma, and field cancerisation. A photosensitising agent is applied to the skin and activated by a specific wavelength of light to selectively destroy abnormal cells. Offered as a therapeutic service at Skin and Cancer Foundation Melbourne, with GP referral required for Medicare-eligible indications.
