Rhinoplasty — Elegant Precision™ Nose Surgery
Type
Rhinoplasty
Duration
3 hours
Dr. White performs his proprietary Elegant Precision™ Rhinoplasty using both open and closed techniques. His dual training in ENT and plastic surgery gives him rare expertise in nasal structure, function, and aesthetics — covering primary rhinoplasty, revision cases, nasal fracture repair, septoplasty, and turbinate surgery. Candidates should be at least 16 years old with fully developed nasal bones. Recovery involves swelling and bruising for approximately two weeks, with return to work in one to two weeks.
USA Plastic Surgery's Elegant Precision™ Rhinoplasty program is one of the most specialized nose surgery offerings in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. Dr. Steven J. White's dual board certification in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) is held by a very small number of surgeons in the United States, positioning him to address both cosmetic reshaping and underlying structural or functional concerns simultaneously. The practice offers two primary surgical approaches. The closed technique places all incisions inside the nostrils, eliminating visible external scarring and typically shortening downtime. The open technique adds a small incision across the columella — the narrow strip of tissue between the nostrils — allowing greater visualization of internal nasal structures. Dr. White recommends the open approach for cases requiring comprehensive or complex changes to nasal tip projection, bridge profile, or overall shape. Beyond primary cosmetic rhinoplasty, Dr. White handles revision rhinoplasty for patients who have had previous procedures elsewhere, nasal fracture repair following trauma, septoplasty to correct a deviated septum that impairs breathing, and turbinate surgery (turbinoplasty) to reduce chronically enlarged turbinates. Candidacy requirements include nasal bone maturity (generally age 16 or older), non-smoker status or cessation at least one month before surgery, and realistic expectations established during a personal consultation. Recovery follows a predictable arc: initial bruising and swelling resolve within approximately two weeks, most patients return to desk work within one to two weeks, and full cartilage healing and final shape refinement continue over several months. Pricing is individualized and provided after consultation; financing through CareCredit is available. Dallas-area patients can call the office directly for a ballpark estimate before booking a formal appointment.
